Does NOW Represent Young Women? Three Women of Diverse Views Discuss the Issue on His Side with Glenn Sacks

Does the National Organization for Women represent young women? At its annual conference this weekend on the theme of "The Drive Towards Equality," NOW struggled to win the loyalties of many women in their 20s and 30s.

A diverse panel of young women discussed NOW, mainstream feminism, and gender issues. Panelists included Jenna Brooke O’Neil, M.A., an instructor in U.S. History and U.S. Women’s History at Santa Rosa Jr. College, attorney and writer Rachel Alexander, the Editor of the Intellectual Conservative, and Amber Mundar, an account administrator in Scottsdale, Arizona.  O'Neil, Alexander, and Mundar discussed NOW's conference and many of its key political positions, answered the question "as a woman, are you oppressed?", and outlined their own ideas for what the agenda of a major women's organization should be.
