Oregon's House Bill 3099. The bill "prohibits court, in family abuse
restraining order, from giving petitioner control of real or personal property
in which respondent has financial interest and petitioner has no financial
interest." In other words, under current state law a man can own a home and live
in it, invite his girlfriend to move in, and then she can get a restraining
order and get him kicked out of his own home, even though she has no reason to
