Communications Guru Michael Levine and Love Coach Athena Navarro
on the Modern Chasm Between Men and Women
Communications expert Michael
Levine and Los Angeles-based relationship coach Athena
Navarro discussed changing gender roles and the "wall of
suspicion" between modern men and women on
His Side with Glenn Sacks
on Sunday, October 12. Levine is the founder of
Levine Communications,
one of the largest public relations firms in the United States.
Topics included: Levine and Navarro's belief that feminism
misjudged much of what women really want and encouraged them to
fill roles which ill-suited them; the way the destruction of the
old courtship rules have left men and women confused and in
search of new ones; whether men should still be expected to pay
for dates; and the so-called "Peter
Pan Syndrome."
Glenn and his guests also discussed Levine's controversial
Psychology Today article
"Why I Hate Beauty ." In that Levine lamented that his life
in Hollywood and constant exposure to many of the world's most
beautiful women was a "curse" which left him "single and lonely"
because he is now incapable of appreciating the beauty of the
average woman. Glenn read part of Michael's
article on the air but had to stop several times to wipe
away the tears from his eyes.
