Warren Farrell Discusses His Historic Men's & Fathers' Rights Campaign for Governor

Best-selling men's issues author Warren Farrell discussed his historic men's and fathers' rights campaign for Governor of California on His Side with Glenn Sacks on KRLA 870 AM in Los Angeles at 11 PM on Sunday, August 17. To listen to the archived version of the show, go to His Side.

Farrell detailed his research on the importance of fathers and put forth his long-term solution to relieving California's budget problems--keeping fathers in children's lives. Farrell noted that the ways family courts allow divorced dads to be driven out of their children's lives leads to high levels of violent crime and teenage pregnancy--social pathologies which "cost California billions in costs for prisons, courts and social services." Farrell put forth a package of reforms to solve this problem, including the rebuttable presumption of joint custody and placing legal limits on post-divorce move-aways.

Farrell also explained why women should vote for him and why his candidacy represents an important step in building a men's and fathers' rights vote which politicians will seek.

Callers included Mike, who described the way family courts "destroy fathers," and Raegan, a paternity fraud activist who believes that women need to help the men's and fathers' movement just as many men helped the feminist movement.

Also joining Warren and Glenn was Marc Angelucci, president of the National Coalition of Free Men Los Angeles, a men's and fathers' rights organization. Angelucci discussed his group's progress with paternity fraud legislation and the ways courts and child support enforcement agencies mistreat low-income fathers.

Farrell will be speaking at a Fathers' Rights rally sponsored by NCFM-LA and other groups on Tuesday, August 26 in downtown Los Angeles. The rally will be held from 9:00a.m. to noon in front of the Los Angeles Superior Court at 600 South Commonwealth Ave. For more info call NCFM-LA at (818) 907-9383 or go to www.NCFMLA.org.
