Steven, a California father of two, was
assigned an erroneous child support
arrearage, arrested by federal agents at
gunpoint, jailed without due process,
and locked up for seven months with
murderers and other violent criminals.
He and tens of thousands of other
fathers are victims of perhaps the
greatest civil liberties violation of
our era--the war against so-called
"deadbeat dads."
Though the mainstream media and civil
libertarian groups have been extremely
slow to recognize it, child support
enforcement's police state tactics
routinely violate fathers'
constitutional rights and right to due
process, as do the actions of
out-of-control judges.
Los Angeles family law attorney Margaret
E. Monos frequently defends fathers
against Los Angeles County's Child
Support Services Department. Monos and
Steven joined Glenn on
His
Side with Glenn Sacks.
